Equal Dreams is expanding our digital accessibility services and programmes! We’re looking for a self-driven and curious individual with an interest to delve deep into digital accessibility to join our A11Y team.
Some core functions of the role include:
- Conducting manual and automated testing of digital assets for accessibility and usability.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to integrate best practices in accessibility.
- Providing consultancy services to evaluate and improve accessibility.
- Developing and conducting related training programmes.

Responsibilities
In your work, you will have the opportunity to be deeply involved in both in-house projects and collaborations with external clients. As a Digital Accessibility Specialist, you will:
- Conduct both manual and automated testing and evaluation of digital assets, including websites, social media, softwares, and applications, to ensure accessibility and usability adhere to local and internal standards.
- Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and content creators to seamlessly integrate accessibility best practices throughout the entire development process.
- Provide expert consultancy on accessibility for programs and services by:
- Conducting end-to-end evaluations
- Identifying accessibility issues, and offering actionable recommendations for improvement
- educate stakeholders on Universal Design in programming and service provision
- Develop and implement custom training programs on digital accessibility, tailored to emerging standards, technologies, and user trends.
- Provide guidance and training on accessibility standards and guidelines to ensure compliance and that best practices are consistently upheld.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive accessibility policies and procedures to foster a culture of integrating accessibility in all facets of our work
- Keep up to date and educate internal team on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to digital accessibility
- Advocate for accessibility initiatives within the organisation and with external stakeholders such as Institutes of Higher Education (IHLs), arts establishment and government bodies.
Note: The candidate must be willing to embrace a dynamic role that includes a variety of operational tasks. In addition to the core responsibilities, the position may require support across different teams to meet evolving business needs and ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
- This position is only open to Singaporeans and PRs.
- Power user of screen readers (i.e. you use screen reader to access information on a daily basis)
- Competent in using common productivity apps such as Google Suite and Microsoft Suite
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn HTML and web technologies

Salary will vary according to skills and experience.
- Experience in digital accessibility, including knowledge of WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) and accessibility testing tools.

Work Environment
- Staff meetings and public training programmes will be held at our office in the Enterprise Development Centre @ ITE College Central.
- You might need to travel to clients’ premises where accessibility testing and training programmes are conducted.
- In your other pockets of time, the working arrangement is flexible, and you may choose to work remotely.
- Heads up: there might be occasional evening or weekend hours. If so, you’ll be compensated with time off.
