Faaiqah is an SgSL instructor and Deaf interpreter with Equal Dreams, who is actively involved in promoting Deaf culture and accessibility in the arts.
Faaiqah’s dedication to inclusion is evident in her projects, including the SgSL storytelling initiatives such as Tales of Sang Kancil and Start Small, Dream Big, and she also served as the interpreter for I Am Seaweed at the M1 Fringe Festival 2025. One of her notable projects is the Deaf-friendly workshop she co-created, What Was That?!, for Esplanade’s March On children’s festival—an innovative experience that brought together Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, and hearing children through SgSL, props, sound, and vibration.
Faaiqah is also a passionate performer, having participated in Olympic Esports Week 2023, and most recently, she appeared as a Deaf actress in A Non-Feeling Life Situation by Cheryl Ho, staged at Light to Night Singapore 2025, showcasing her dedication to inclusive artistic expression.
Faaiqah is a member of a Redeafination, a Deaf dance crew, and regularly teaches and facilitates dance workshops in various settings, including primary schools, using movement and visual language to connect with learners of all backgrounds.
